There is work going on at the vacated Moose Lodge on Union Avenue in West Islip. And, we couldn't be happier. The place was left in a deplorable condition and despite our concerns raised in this space, neither the Town nor the former owners cleared up the site. It was an eyesore that was allowed to fester for too long.
