On Fri., May 1 the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (SCCADV) launched its new fund-raising campaign, The Buck Starts Here to end domestic violence. Domestic violence is a crime that affects each and every member of society. Thousands of victims live in fear everyday and are abused at the hands of their intimate partner.

SCCADV has been providing services to victims of domestic violence and their children for 33 years. Due to the current economic crisis, it has become more difficult to sustain our life saving services.

At this time, it is acknowledged that individuals may not be able to donate a large sum of money so the organization is asking just for a buck. This dollar will allow SCCADV to continue to provide vital services to your community. Shelter banks are being placed in locations throughout Suffolk County.
