Have you checked the Babylon Village.com website? You can view a short film made in the village, "The Fifth of July". The website also provides you with listings of local happenings.

The 10k Dirty Sock Run is scheduled for August 23rd. The will be the fourth running of the Babylon Village Classic which raises funds to help the Clergy Cluster Food Pantries. In 2008 the Run raised more than $10,000 (or, ironically, 10k)! This year there are lots of local families that need help from the food pantries. To register or find out more about the race, check DirtySockRun.com. To those gardeners out there, this is the time to cut back any Spring-blooming bushes that have finished blooming. These include, forsythia, lilacs, and azaleas. By cutting them back now, you ensure nice blossoms for next spring!

In the "Did You Know?" category: The original Babylon Fire Department was located on the site now occupied by the American Legion. On the opposite side of Grove Place was St. Joseph's Church (where the houses behind Loman's are located).
