Leg. Lou D’Amaro announces the annual Arthitis Walk fundraiser is being held at Belmont Lake State Park in Babylon this Saturday. Step off is 11 a.m. In attendance will be 9-year-old Liam McGlone who has spent almost half of his life battling the disease that many think only strikes adults. Rather than focusing on why he cannot do physical things like others his age, Liam has spent his time trying to raise awareness of youth arthritis in the hope and belief that one day there can be a cure. Liam was recently honored by the Suffolk County Legislature, which designated May as Suffolk County Youth Arthritis Awareness Week.
