Girl Scout Troop 1820 helps feed the hungry
2009-04-30 / People/Social
Recently the Girls Scouts Juliette Troop 1820 of Babylon Village made over 400 cheese and bologna sandwiches which they donated to a soup kitchen in Wyandanch. TheScouts delivered the sandwiches to Charlie Cicio, director of the Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center. Cicio took the girls on a tour of the soup kitchen explaining where the food comes from, who the soup kitchen benefits and who the volunteers are that make it work. The Scouts also went to the Outreach Center and there they heard about the food pantry and the many people they help there.
