Man shot in North Babylon
Suffolk County Police First Squad Detectives are investigating a shooting in North Babylon, which seriously injured a Wyandanch man who was sitting in a friend's car. On Saturday, April 18, 2009, at about 12:00 a.m., Ustaffa Dash, 20, of 33 State Street, North Babylon, was sitting in a friend's car in front of 73 Centerwood Street, North Babylon when he was confronted by an unidentified male who demanded money. Thesuspect then shot Dash multiple times in his leg and chest. Dash was driven to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, by his friend Gregory Ulysse, 20, of North Babylon. Dash remains hospitalized in critical condition. Detectives are asking anyone who may have information about the above incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
