Volunteers needed for work at 9/11 Memorial Park at Cedar Beach

Volunteers (adults and teenagers) are invited and urgently needed to help plant dune grass, shrubs and scrub pines and install bird boxes at Cedar Beach Overlook/Town of Babylon 9-11 Memorial on Sat., April 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Boy Scout Scott Fogel, age 16, of Troop 207 Islip is coordinating the restoration with the encouragement and assistance of the Town of Babylon for his Eagle Scout Project. The site is located at Cedar Beach Overlook adjacent to the Cedar Beach golf course. Lunch and snacks will be provided to volunteers.
