A little bit of sugar and a whole lot of love went into the cookies the students in Cindy Theiss's Home and Career Skills and Jenna Cucci's food preparation classes at Babylon Junior-Senior High School baked for visitors to the Nathaniel Conklin House in Babylon to enjoy and for the Holiday Village Cookie Contest, respectively. Cucci's students' cookies were submitted to the annual contest in early December and judged based on their age group, while Theiss's class's cookies were donated to the historic house.

Additionally, and in keeping with the holiday spirit, students from Theiss's Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) class volunteered their time after school to sprinkle decorations throughout the Conklin House's great room. Students hung garland from the historic wooden beams, decorated a Christmas tree, and trimmed the room's fireplace with holiday decorations.

Shown in the photo, rolling up their sleeves, students in Jenna Cucci's Food Preparation class at Babylon Junior- Senior High School baked up several kinds of cookies and entered the final products into the Holiday Village Cookie Contest.
