Phil Nolan, shown third from left, and members of the Town Board commended the outstanding efforts of three Parks and Recreation Department employees at a recent Town Board meeting at Town Hall in Islip. The employees, Peter Halbert, Dan Atkins, and Jack Roarty, worked through the night in order to create Mt. Timberline at Timberline Park in Brentwood. Mt. Timberline, formed with the help of the snow machine originally purchased for Winter by the Bay, was visited by hundreds of children and families.
