Coalition against Domestic Violence provides victims help

2009-03-26 / Events & Bulletin

TheSuffolkCounty Coalition Against Domestic Violence (SCCADV) serves thousands of victims each year. The issues we face in our economy have caused added stress on families, which is contributing to higher incidents of family violence. Many more hotline callers are looking for shelter. Requests for all services have risen dramatically.

If you are experiencing any form of abuse in your home by an intimate partner, whether it is physical, psychological, or financial, call SCCADV's 24-hour hotline at 631-666-8833.

Volunteers are needed to help in these difficulttimes. SCCADV, like other charities, needs financial assistance to sustain life-saving services. To learn about different volunteer opportunities and for more information, online go to www. sccadv.org or call Jamie Dorman during business hours at 631-666-7181, extension 323.
