Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition needs help
The Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition announced yesterday that it needs help in order to help others. "We realize that times are tough," said Debbie Basile, president of the BBCC, "but we must raise funds in order to help our neighbors who suffer from breast cancer, and other cancers affecting women."
Basile pointed out that part of their fundraising is hosting the annual "Chefs for a Cause" dinner. The event to be held May 12 at the Venetian Yacht Club, raises funds through raffle prizes donated by retailers and others. Their "wish list," said Basile, are much needed gift certificates for massages, personal trainer, dance lessons, pet grooming, photography, concert tickets, children summer camps, landscaping, clean up, dinner for two, theater tickets, and other such gifts. Full recognition will be given to all of the providers.
"We cover all of Babylon Township," Basile said, "and we could use the help of the many local merchants located here, anything they can do for us would go a long way in helping us help our neighbors."
