TheAmityville Woman's Club held its monthly meeting Tues., Feb. 10 at the Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club. Following Barbara Lozier saying grace and Carolyn D'Antonio leading the Pledge of Allegiance, luncheon was served. The speaker was Martha Kolodkin, who presented a program entitled Presidents' Mothers: TheWomen Who Shaped Them.

The community service committee used Valentine's Day as a theme for its February project. The club members had been asked to bring items to put in gift bags. Thirty bags were delivered Valentine's Day to the Northport Veterans Hospital. Each bag included socks, games, cards and personal toiletries. A Valentine's card from a member to one of our heroes was in each of the bags.
