Suffolk County offers workshop and program on dating violence
One out of three teens are in a violent relationship, and only one out of 11 will report them to the police. TheYouth Education program a the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence offers presentations and workshops for children and teens from kindergarten through college. Topics that are covered include dating violence, healthy relationships, as well as bullying. Workshops are available both in and outside of the school environment and can be provided to youth groups within the community. Additional resources for the presentations include PAVE (People's Alliance for Violence Education) a powerful and moving, improvisational acting troupe available to perform skits around the issues of dating violence and bullying. Contact Lori at 631-666-1781, extension 326 or email lori@sccadv.org for more information and to schedule an educational presentation in your school or organization.
