The Town of Islip, in cooperation with the Sayville Chamber of Commerce, will be sponsoring the 19th annual Earth Day celebration in downtown Sayville on Sat., May 2, with a rain date of Sun., May 3. Vendors and exhibitors with earth-friendly goods and/or services, and who have a current N.Y. State Tax Identification number, are encouraged to contact Danielle Wynn, Earth Day coordinator, at 631-224-5650 to obtain an application for the event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. . A $25 fee is required and vendors will have to supply their own tables. The deadline for applications is April 2, 2009.

Thousands of people are expected to attend this year's celebration, which features performers, continuous live music, clowns, animal exhibits, educational workshops, displays, demonstrations, and so much more.
