Islip Town Supv. Phil Nolan is now accepting submissions for the Town's first-ever photo contest. Entrants should send a photo of good times spent at one of the Town's parks, pools, marinas, golf courses, or recreation centers. The winning photo will be featured on the cover of the summer/fall edition of the Recreation News.

"Be the envy of your neighbors: Send us a copy of a fun time you had at one of our parks, pools, marinas, golf courses or recreation centers for a chance to be on the cover of the Recreation News," Supervisor Nolan stated. Entrants must send the photo along with their name, address, phone number, age and detail sabout the photo.

Photos must be submitted in .jpg format to photocontest@townofislip-ny. gov or as a four by six or five by seven to Town of Islip Recreation Photo Contest, Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Ln., East Islip, NY 11730. All contestants must be Islip Town residents; no professional photographers may apply; photos must be taken in an Islip Town park.

Entries must be received by no later than April 1. Winners and runners up will be announced at the April 28 Town Board meeting, which is being held at the East Islip Middle School at 7 p.m.
