Santapogue Elementary students say no to drugs

2009-02-26 / Schools/Sports

Santapogue Elementary School in the West Babylon School District joined other schools nationwide on Oct. 20 for a Red Ribbon ceremony where they pledged to pursue a healthy lifestyle by avoiding illegal and controlled substances. Students, faculty, and staff attended the anti-drug event. Dignitaries from the Town of Babylon, members of the Board of Education, and Central Administration attended the celebration, as well. The neighborhood and school grounds were decorated with bright red ribbons provided by Santapogue's PTA, and everyone wore a special button: I Elect Not to Do Drugs.
