Registration for kindergarten in the Lindenhurst School District will take place at each elementary school on Tues., March 3, for children whose last names begin with letters A-L, and Tues., March 10, for children with last names beginning with letters M-Z. Registration will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

To enter kindergarten, a child must have reached the age of five on or before December 1 of the year in which he/she plans to register. A parent or legal guardian must register all students. A pamphlet of information is available to all parents at the schools.

At the time of kindergarten enrollment, it is necessary to present the following documentation: the child's original birth certificate with raised seal, a health record (including a history of major diseases, and an official report of immunizations), child's social security number, and appropriate residence documentation.
