Babylon Green Party hosts Veterans for Peace speaker

On Wed., March 4, 7 p.m., the Babylon Green Party gathering will feature Camillo "Mac" Bica, Ph.D., the coordinator of Veterans for Peace of Long Island speaking about the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. All gatherings are free of charge, and open to the public.

Bica will be discussing what is developing as President Obama's plan for fighting the "war on terrorism." The question is whether what Obama is offering the American people is truly change and hope for peace or merely a continuation of the Bush policy of occupation and destruction.

Babylon Green Party gatherings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. The April 1, gathering will feature Scott Carlin, the founder of the Long Island Climate Solutions Network speaking about Global Warming: How Immediate is the Crisis?

The Green Party is an alternative party to the Democrats and Republicans. The four pillars of the Green Party are: Nonviolence/ Peace; Grassroots Democracy; Social and Economic Justice; and Ecological Wisdom.
