Police seek information on NB bank robbery
Suffolk County Police Major Case Investigations Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at a Bethpage Federal Credit Union branch in North Babylon.
Police said a man entered the credit union at 11:35 a.m., Thurs., Feb. 5, and shouted to a teller to give him cash in $50 and $100 bills. He then produced a plastic bag and told the teller to fill it. The teller complied with the robber's demands and gave him cash from the drawer. The robber fled the bank, lo- cated at 1350-35 Deer Park Ave., North Babylon, and was last seen running west in the shopping center.
The robber is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall with a large build. He was wearing a knit cap, sunglasses, and a heavy hooded black jacket.
