On Feb. 1, the Babylon Lions held their annual Super Bowl fundraiser at the Masonic Lodge on Main Street in Babylon. This active Lions Club has been assisting in worthy causes within the Babylon community since 1936.

Some of the charitable organizations that this Lions Club donates to are the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition, Babylon Village Youth Project, Long Island Eye Bank, Campaign Sightfirst II and scholarships for seniors graduating from Babylon High School. In addition, the Babylon Lions sponsor a Leos Club, which allows students in grades 9-12 to assist in developing projects that improve their community.
