Town program looks to ease burden of evictions; protect communities
For years, residents evicted from their homes or apartments by the S.C. Sheriff's Office had their personal belongings placed curbside, exposed to the elements, and to the view of their neighbors. In too many instances, said Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone, these items were vandalized or damaged by the weather and became a blight in their communities.
