Lindenhurst BOE welcomes Johanna Dillenbeck
Johanna Dillenbeck has been appointed by the Board of Education as the Middle School chairperson of special education for the Lindenhurst School District. She has taken the position left by her predecessor, Paul Hewett.
Dillenbeck began her career as a special education teacher in the Buckingham School in Bayside, and then continued teaching for the New York City Board of Education in special education. She also served as health coordinator, 504 coordinator, and instruction support specialist. In the past few years Dillenbeck served as regional director of intervention services and principal of Crossroads Middle School in Manhattan. She has over 20 years of experience as an educator.
Dillenbeck is looking forward to bringing her administrative and leadership expertise to the Lindenhurst School District. "I am excited to work with the Lindenhurst School Community," said Dillenbeck. "I believe my abilities will contribute to leading the Lindenhurst schools toward significant and positive change."
