Former Babylon resident Sean James O'Farrell died Dec. 25, 2008 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was 52.

He was born to Cecelia O'Shaughnessy and Francis X. O'Farrell and served in the U.S. Navy. For many years Mr. O'Farrell worked as an engineer for General Dynamics and as an event supervisor at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Mr. O'Farrell leaves behind his wife, Rebecca O. of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his children: Christopher Seaton and Ryan O'Farrell of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his brothers: Patrick, Matthew, Timothy and Vincent; and his parents: Cecelia O'Shaughnessy of Babylon and Francis X. of Largo, Florida.

He reposed at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Dec. 29, 2008.
