The New York State School Music Association recently named six West Islip High School students to its All-State ensembles out of the thousands who auditioned last spring. The New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Conference will be held in Rochester on Dec. 4 to 7. The students named are as follows: Mixed Chorus: Matthew Carlin, Cortlandt Mathews, Amanda Corey, Amanda Hassler (Alternate) Wind Ensemble: Douglas Bruno, Matthew Carlin (Alternate), Victoria Astuto.
