Local professional named top advisor by Reuters Advicepoint Max Haspel, of Brightwaters, founder of Blue Water Advisors, LLC and a financial professional with AXA Advisors, LLC, has been named a Top Adviser for 2008 by ReutersAdvicePoint, part of Reuters, the global information company. Haspel qualified as one of only 20 financial professionals in the New York Metro area in the under 40 category. ReutersAdvicePoint, an online community connecting investors with financial advisers, has compiled lists that highlight specific advisers' client focus and professional designations. The 11 lists, comprised of only 379 financial advisers nationally, were pulled from the Reuters Advice- Pointtm Top Advisers 2008 survey results. Quantitative criteria were used to benchmark advisers in categories including assets under management and client net worth. Haspel graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor's degree in economics. He recently completed a multi-session training program on advanced investment and wealth management strategies at the AXA Institute, taught by Harvard professor Harold V. Langolis, Ph.D. Haspel also earned a certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is active in community organizations such as the Colgate Alumni Club of Long Island and the Fiver Children's Foundation, where he is Board Member and Chairman of the Endowment Investment Committee. He resides in Brightwaters, with his family.
