Carousel students learn life cycles

Preschoolers in the Carousel School of West Baby­lon experienced, first hand, the life cycle of a but­terfly and the miracle of metamorphosis, as they watched their individual larvae form chrysalids and finally emerge as butterflies.

Shown above, Kaitlyn Baum, of the "Teddy Bear" class is amazed to watch her butterfly emerge from its chrysalid within its pavilion. Jack Shao, below, of Babylon, admires then releases his butterfly to con­tinue the cycle.
