100 ways to learn about math at D. P. JQA Elementary School

Students attending John Quincy Adams Elementary School in Deer Park celebrated the 100th day of school with a themed day of events centering on the number 100. Playing the role of their future 100-year-old selves, students dressed in grandma's and grandpa's finest attire, sporting powder white wigs, tin-rimmed glasses, and accessorized with wooden canes. Through the use of different number games, puzzles, and riddles, the students mastered math and lan- guage problems, and demonstrated their creative sides using building blocks and crafts.
