Safe boating course offered in Babylon

A Safe Boating Course comes to

Babylon in May and June. The oneday,

eight- hour New York State Boating

and PWC/Jetski Safety Certification

Course (also known as a boating

or jetski license) will be held Sat., May

10 and Saturday June 14 at the Babylon

Town Annex, Phelps Lane, Babylon.

New York state law requires that

all boaters between the ages of 10 and

18 and all PWC/Jetski Operators successfully

complete a boating safety

course in order to operate a motor boat

or Personal Water Craft in New York

Waters. This course is open to adults

and children 10 years of age and older.

The fee for this course is $60. This

course is taught in a one day format by

U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains and

state-certified instructors. Registration

is ongoing and should be completed as

soon as possible before the class fills
