Walt Whitman HS hosts marching band conference

In preparation for the New York State Championships, the Walt Whitman High School (WWHS) Marching Band recently hosted the New York State Field Band Conference, a regional competition featuring marching bands from Deer Park, Huntington, Garden City, Division Avenue, Malverne, Brentwood, Lindenhurst, Roslyn and Mineola. Under the direction of Daniel Vecchiano, WWHS Marching Band delighted the crowd with Scheherazade, their 2007 selection. The Voices of Whitman performed the National Anthem.
