Leg. D'Amaro joins Babylon officials to address local issues at North Babylon PTA breakfast

North Babylon School District resident and Suffolk Leg. Lou D'Amaro (D-North Babylon) recently joined with local elected officials, parents and teachers for the North Babylon PTA Legislative Breakfast. Held within walking distance of Leg. D'Amaro's home, the annual event helps foster good relationships between elected officials and the communities they represent. This year, eight elected representatives from the Town of Babylon were in attendance to discuss issues of importance to their constituents. Legislator D'Amaro provided information on his recentlyreleased School Commission Report, which included 25 cost-saving recommendations for local districts. He also gave an update on the County's efforts to fight sex predators and the new PoliceSmart educational program being introduced in Suffolk's schools. "I applaud the North Babylon School District for hosting this wonderful event. Every year I look forward to the exchange of ideas and I thank all of the residents for keeping their local government representatives informed about important community issues," Leg. D'Amaro said.
