Babylon Village Women's Club scholarships available The Babylon Village Women's Club has announced that a $1,500 scholarship available to women residents of Babylon Village who are returning to school for the 2008 to 2009 academic year. Applicants must reside in Babylon Village, work in Babylon Village, or pay Babylon Village taxes. A high school diploma, or its equivalent, is a prerequisite; the decision will not be based on financial need. Applicants must be non-traditional female students (i.e., a student returning to school, not attending directly from high school.). To receive an application, please send a self-addressed stamped #10 envelope to Babylon Village Women's Club, Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 173, Babylon, NY, 11702, or download an application at www.babylonvillagewomensclub.com. Completed applications must be received by May 5. Priority will be given to those applicants who have not received any previous educational degrees or certificates/licenses and who have not had continuous schooling.
