Babylon student-musicians selected to perform at Walt Disney World The Babylon High School Chordettes Women's Choir, the Babylon Express, Jazz Ensemble, and Symphonic Winds were selected to showcase their music talents at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida this February as part of the park's Magic Music Days. For this honor, the students had the chance to perform a variety of pieces for an international audience of theme park guests. The more than 80 Babylon School District students took to the stage at the Galaxy Palace Theater, as well as enjoyed marching past hundreds as they traveled down Disney's Main Street, U.S.A. Additionally, the students and their directors had the chance to participate in music workshops at Epcot and even had some time to travel around a few of the parks.
The directors are Angela Turk for Symphonic Winds, Charlie Leech for the Jazz Ensemble, Brian Kroll for the Express Vocal jazz group and Melissa Dell'Italia for the Chordettes select woman's group.
