Babylon Business and Professional Women's Club holds annual cocktail party

Shown in the photo are raffle winners Joy Torrey Anita North and Lois Baisley.
On Feb. 24, the annual cocktail party of the Babylon Business and Professional Women's Association took place at the West Islip home of Ralph and Anita North. Members and guests were on hand to support their scholarship fundraising event. Local merchants were also responsible for this successful party. Parkwood Restaurant, Gemelli's, Babylon Village Meat Market and Keysers Florist all donated food platters, baskets and floral arrangements.

Patrick McGinnis, as he always does, tended the bar and tenders. Three raffle prizes were won by Joy Torrey, Lois Baisley and Anita North. Many members prepared hors d'oeuvres and assisted in the kitchen, at the door or selling raffle chances. Guests included many local community members, Mayor Ralpoh Scordino and the Village trustees, Wayne Horsley and many friends of the "Busy Women." The Association's goals have been met and they will provide scholarship assistance to two Babylon seniors this June.
Shown are members who assisted included President Elizabeth Karoly, Lois Baisley, Libby Orr and Fran Pasch.
