Levy announces STOP-DWI Poster Contest Winners Michelle D’Errico of West Babylon is Second Place winner Six high school students who participated in the county’s annual STOP-DWI poster and art contest were recently honored by Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy. This year’s contest was expanded to include graphic/computer design. As a result, prizes were awarded in two categories; freestyle/hand art and graphic/computer art. Winning second place in the contest was West Babylon Senior High School student Michelle D’Errico. Each winner received a cash prize and a certificate from the County Executive. “The talent displayed by these students is outstanding,” noted County Executive Steve Levy. “I want to congratulate the students for their commitment to helping educate others about the dangers of drunk driving through the use of artistic expression,” said Levy. Over 150 students from 12 Suffolk high schools participated in the art contest. The contest was open to all Suffolk County high school students, and was sponsored by Suffolk County STOP-DWI. This year’s entries were judged by Denna Cohen, President of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Metro-Region Chapter; Bonnie Anderson, Suffolk County Department of Health; Lt. Robert Donohue, Suffolk County Police Department, and Ron Edelson, Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc.
