Doris Everitt, of Babylon Village

Longtime Babylon Village resident Doris W. Everitt, a devoted mother, wife and grandmother, died March 2, 2008. She was 80 years old.

Born in New York City, she had lived in Babylon Village for 55 years and was an avid flower gardener

and cat lover. She worked in the station relations department of NBC in Manhattan for many years until her retirement, and was a longtime member of the Babylon Yacht Club.

Mrs. Everitt leaved behind her husband of many years, Theodore; her children: Susan Lapierre and her husband Lee of Connecticut, Robin Kenison of Maine and Ted and his wife Kristina of Babylon; and her grandchildren: Ben, Sarah, Bryan, Emma and Matthew.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Fredrick J. Chapey and Sons in West Islip. A private ceremony will be held at Bellport Woodland Cemetery on Arbor Day, April 25, 2008.
