Supporting arts education at North Babylon

The North Babylon Music and Art Programs and the Performing Arts Support Association (PASA) recently organized a book fair at the Bay Shore Barnes and Noble location. More than 150 student performers and guest readers participated in a read-athon, mixed with musical performances and a student art exhibit throughout the store. Keeping with the theme, North Babylon High School theatre students performed an interpretation of famous childrens' literature, including Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Are You My Mother?. The event raised almost $900 for arts education programs in North Babylon schools.

Shown in the photo are Dr. Kim Lowenborg Coyne, Director of Music and Arts and her daughter Grace.
