Half Hollow Hills Library budget vote April 8 The Half Hollow Hills Community Library is holding its annual budget vote and Trustee election Tues., April 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Dix Hills building, 55 Vanderbilt Pkwy., Dix Hills. This year the library board is proposing a 1.7 percent increase in spending which includes funds to additional materials including books, videos, DVDs, magazines, etc., as well as additional programs for adults and children. The increase to the tax rate is approximately 9-cents or an additional $5.31 a year on a home assessed at $6,000.
