Stern honors Half Hollow Hills Sieman Award winners

S.C. Leg. Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16th LD awarded Siemens scholars with Proclamations at a recent Half Hollow Hills Board of Education meeting. Four students were named semi-finalists in the prestigious program, which awards scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic excellence through completion of intensive research projects. The winners are Lauren Lisann, Dana Zhu, Lennie Zhu and Shayam Rajan. "The Siemens competition is one of the most rigorous and well respected academic programs in the nation," Leg. Stern said. "It is very impressive for the Half Hollow Hills School District to have four semi-finalists and I congratulate these fine students, Research Director Chrysi Notskas and the district on this remarkable achievement. I am certain that these fine students will have great success in college and in their careers and will continue to be a source of pride to their families and our community."
