North Babylon Youth Center offering basketball camp this summer

The North Babylon Community Youth Center is offering weekly basketball camps, run by professional basketball players and coaches from the New York Wizards. Week 1 will be held from July 14 to 18 for students that have completed grades six through eight. Week 2 will take place from July 21 to 25 for students two through five.

The Center will also have weekly soccer camps, run by players and coaches from the Long Island Rough Riders. Week 1 will take place from Aug.4 to 8, for students that have completed grades two through five.; Week 2 will take place from Aug. 11 through 15 for students that have completed grades six through eight.

The six-week mini summer camps are open to boys and girls that have completed kindergarten through fifth grade and will run Monday through Friday from July 7 through Aug. 15. You can register for the a.m. session which will run from 10 a.m. to noon or the p.m. session, which will run from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The camp will take place indoors in an air-conditioned facility and if weather permits, some activities will take place outside. The camp consists of arts and crafts, science, games, party dances, sports and much more.
