West Babylon students raise money for cancer

The student council at the South Bay Elementary School in the West Babylon School District sponsored a fundraiser for pediatric cancer patients. Students who raised a minimum of $2 for Hats on Days received a sticker and were allowed to wear hat to school that day. The wearing of the hats was in recognition of the ill youngsters who go through chemotherapy and often lose their hair in the process. South Bay grade schoolers raised over $500.
