Udall Road Middle School students in West Islip are learning about the presidential election process and will be participating in the fall elections. They learned that New York is one of many states that was holding primaries on Super Duper Tuesday and all 6th, 7th and 8th graders chose a political party affiliation, a candidate, and gave the most important issue they believe the country is facing.

Voting took place during homerooms periods. The youngsters will continue to follow the candidates and issues. The National Student Mock Election program that they are participating in is the nation's largest voter education program and is designed to make students aware of the power of voting by actively involving them in a national campaign and election.
