Mary Anne Nordhausen, retired Good Samaritan R.N.

Longtime Bay Shore resident and registered nurse Mary Anne Nordhausen died Jan. 25, 2008. She was 70, and dedicated her life to caring for others.

Raised in Oceanside, she was a 1957 graduate of of St. Vincent's School of Nursing. She moved with her husband James B. to Bay Shore where they raised six children and lived for 47 years.

Mrs. Nordhausen worked as a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital for 35 years, until her retirement in 1995.

Mrs. Nordhausen was an active Communicant at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church who loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her husband of 47 years, Mrs. Nordhausen leaves behind her children: William J. of Bradenton, Florida; Carol Perrin and her husband Steve of Niskayuna, New York; Jet and his wife Kathy of Ellicott City, Maryland; Patricia of Manhattan and Barbara Badaracca and her husband Bill of Land O'Lakes, Florida. Her grandchildren, Mark, Julia, Caroline, Brittany Perrin, Michael Perrin, Sydney, Jake, Nicholas and Ava Badaracca also survive her as do her siblings, Thomas Lynch and his wife Bernadette of Manasquan, New Jersey, Dennis Lynch of Oceanside and David Lynch and his wife Patricia of Colchester, Connecticut. Thirteen nieces and nephews also survive her.

She reposed at the Michael J. Grant Funeral Home in Brentwood. A Mass of Christian Burial was said on Jan. 28, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in West Islip followed by private interment.
