Lions Club scholarship available

Once again, the Deer Park Lions Club will award the Francis D. Olivio $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school student or returning college student who is a Deer Park resident and will be attending college in the fall of 2008. This scholarship is given in memory of a past president of the Deer Park Lions, Frank Olivio. Who was very active in the Deer Park community. The criteria used to award this scholarship are community service, grade point average, student activities and financial need. The application must be completed and returned postmarked by May 1.
