Positions Dance Studio in Babylon teams up with “Dance Across America”

Positions Dance Studio, 20 Deer Park Ave. in Babylon Village, has pledged its support for the Andrea Rizzo Foundation's nationwide fundraising effort, Dance Across America.

Along with studios across the United States, studio director, Victoria Carra will oversee her dancers as they collect pledges for hours danced on March 15.

Dance Across America is one of many fundraising efforts created by the Andrea Rizzo Foundation to bring dance therapy to children with special education needs in public schools and pediatric patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.

Created in memory of a young dance therapy graduate student and survivor of childhood cancer who was killed at the age of 24 by a drunk driver, the foundation aspires to bring dancers, b together to blend dance and compassion.
