Lindenhurst Middle School gives to Lindenhurst soldiers

Students, teachers and administrators gathered over 30 cartons of food, letters, cards, toothbrushes, and school supplies for two soldiers who attended Lindenhurst schools. James Anderson who is in the Army and Dan Piccolo who is in the Marines will received the boxes in time for their holiday celebration in Iraq. James Anderson is the son of Dolores Anderson, one of the aides at the middle school.

"It makes the donation even more special when we know it is going to Lindenhurst families, stated one of the coordinators of the program Patricia Natale. "We had financial donations to assist with the shipping of the cartons overseas."

Shown in the photo are Lindenhurst Middle School eighth graders, teachers and administration standing next to the boxes of donations for soldiers in Iraq from Lindenhurst.
