Lindenhurst Middle School's Outdoor Club visits Atlantis Marine World

On Friday, Nov. 30, the Lindenhurst Middle School Outdoor Club made its first field trip of the year to Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead. In spite of cold temperatures students and chaperones enjoyed many of the stillopen outdoor exhibits as well as those inside.

Some of the highlights included the penguin feeding, the sea lion show, feeding the rays, the simulated submarine ride, and the Long Island local waters exhibit, featuring many of the fish found here on Long Island.

There was an outdoor freshwater fish pond as well, similar to the one in the middle school courtyard.

Dr. Lou A'quila, Outdoor Club advisor coordinated the trip.
