St. Patrick's Day celebration to aid Our Lady of Miraculous Medal outreach in Wyancanch

The Bob Morris Irish Band will host its eighth annual St. Patrick's celebration on Sun., March 2, 3 to 6 p.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church parish hall, 1434 Straight Path, Wyandanch.

Also featured will be Fr. Bill's Banjo Group, headed by Rev. William F. Brisotti, pastor of the Wyandanch parish, along with the Mise Eire stepdancing school troupe from Babylon and the Plainview Ceili Dancers.

Bob Morris Irish Band instruments include accordions, fiddle, banjo, flute, whistles, guitar, mandolin, keyboard and drums. The versatile group of Long Islanders performs traditional jigs, marches, reels, hornpipes, waltzes, and a variety of sing-along favorites. Fr. Brisotti is the lead banjo player for the Band.

All proceeds from the performance will go to the Wyandanch parish, whose outreach center, food pantry and rectory were devastated by arson in December. Admission is free. Voluntary donations will be gratefully received.
