Sign-up for e-blasts on DPSD new community website Are you a resident of the Deer Park School District? Would you like to stay apprised of important issues that not only affect the schools, but the community at-large? Perhaps you don't have time to attend the regular Board of Education meetings, but want to stay informed. You can now receive updates from your own home computer! The Deer Park Board of Education recently launched a new website to enhance communication with the community. If you are a resident of the district, you are invited to sign up to receive EBlasts from the Board. It's free, simple to subscribe, and there is no obligation. Merely log onto www.deerparkboe.com or log onto the district website at www.deerparkschools.org and click on the Board of Education link. Once you are on the Board of Education site, look for the Call to Action section on the homepage, and type in your email address to receive email updates from the Board about local and national issues that affect your children and you. You will not be subject to junk mail or spam as a result of your participation.
Committee reports, information about the Board, budget process, capital projects, schedules of meetings, and government links are also available on the new site. In addition, there is a "Message Board" which allows residents to comment on issues and events in the district and community, and a Rumor Mill section to help clarify certain issues. Residents can email Board members on any District issue, as well.
