Three from W.I. sign baseball scholarship deals

Coveted West Islip High School varsity baseball players Patrick Cantwell, Steve Smith, and Nick Tropeano have made it official about where they will be going to college in the fall of 2008. Cantwell and Tropeano will be playing for Stony Brook University while continuing their studies, and Smith will be at Niagara University. The trio signed their Letters of Intent on the early period national signing day of Nov. 14. Regular period signing day will be in the spring of 2008.
