Wash your hands

Good Samaritan Hospital sponsors a free classroom program to educate students about germs and the importance of hand washing. "Where do you find germs?" asked the instructor. Mrs. Weldon's class realized germs are everywhere. Students didn't realize that there are germs in yogurt, blue cheese, and yeast.

Theresa Hensley, the school nurse at Lindenhurst's E.W. Bower Elementary School arranged for representatives from the hospital's microbiology lab, Lynn Smith, Rita Austin, and Kathy McCabe to visit the classrooms and share information with the students.
